HANNIBAL

HANNIBAL (RIDLEY SCOTT) 2001 

The misen-scene at the begingin is of this big mansion we could tell this from the big establishing shot were we could also see three characters in the shot of this large room. In the next shot there a 3 people converting, the first person to start to talk was a black gentlemen on the left sitting on a sofa  who was talking to a man a in wheel chair, we could only see the distinctive features of the man in the wheel chair but not any detail on his face. In the next shot this person start to talk then very suddenly we see a close up which shows his whole head which appears to be very disfigured, how this happened is not mentioned and reasons as how and when it happened is still unclear. the effect of this could have been to shock the audience and make them feel sick. These men a sitting quite far apart from each other, so some shots were wide shots to show the 2 men conversing but also there were close up shots when there was dialogue.
Afterwards in the next shot we see the gentlemen on the left shows mask to the guy who is very disfigured. There is emphasis made on the mask the there was an almost extreme close up which might have been done to stress the importance of this mask.

Finding a location for the movie

I went to central London to find a good location for my movie. As building are big they have a lot on impact of a film

I think this picture that i took goes well with the theme and story set of my movie.  

The Propersition

THE PROPERSITION 2005 ( JOHN HILLCOAT)

The begining of this film started with old pictures of a group poeople ( family maybe ) who are young and with every picture they get older, but then theirs  pictures of men with guns, then this leads to pictures of dead animal corpses and graves which could suggest that this group of people killed them. The music however do not fit the pictures which makes it slightly unsettleing.

Bone Collector

THE BONE COLLECTOR ( PHILLIP  NOYCE 1999 ) 

The beginning of the Bone collector starts of with a black and white picture of a man who has been murdered, and then another picture of a cop  ( Denzil Washington ), this could be because the producer want to tell a story from the pictures.

Their are lots of shots of the New York Skyline, but as its moving fast disorientating the focus of the building all that is seen is the moving lights, this could be done to emphasise the fast moving life of New York and could also be the set for the movie.

Then we see Denzil Washington walk into a tunnel at night time, going past people who are giving updates on the situation, these characters talk to him with respect, this shows that that he has superiority or dominance of these people. But he responds in an almost rude manor, of his colleges says that he will be right behind him and he responds by saying keep back until iv processed the scene.

After when he has reached to the part of the tunnel where he has to get down on his front to get into a tight space, were their is P.O.V shot which show how hard it is to maneuver is such conditions . Later in the shot he gets to a corps of a man who has been murdered( how he was murdered is still unclear which adds to the mystery), but the as he lift ups the deceased head he looks at in shock, maybe he is related to Denzil this also adds to the mystery but we don't get to gaze at his reaction for too long as a massive concrete block slab falls on him in an instant.
